For the Varsity Tiger Pop-Up at Isetan Tokyo in August 2022, Kenzo wanted every visitor to leave with something no shopping bag could hold. POAP Studio designed a frictionless NFC experience that turned a store visit into a collectible moment.
Visitors placed their phone on a branded Kenzo sticker and instantly received an exclusive digital collectible — no app download, no wallet setup, no friction. Just a tap and a keepsake tied to the physical experience.
Kenzo wanted to give Isetan Tokyo pop-up visitors something beyond the shopping experience — a digital token that felt as premium and effortless as the brand itself, while opening a direct channel for future engagement.
Branded Kenzo NFC stickers at the Pop-Up entrance invited visitors to tap their phone — the entire claim took seconds, with no app or wallet required.
Each tap delivered an exclusive digital collectible designed specifically for the Varsity Tiger activation — a verified proof that the visitor was there.
Built-in utility gave Kenzo a direct channel to reward and re-engage collectors after the pop-up closed — turning a one-time visit into an ongoing relationship.
